Phoenix CIS wins Innovation (Investment) Award at the 2026 Pensions Age Awards

We’re delighted to share that Phoenix Corporate Investment Services (CIS) has been named the winner of the Innovation (Investment) Award at the 2026 Pensions Age Awards.

The accolade marks a year of meaningful progress in investment innovation, delivering solutions that help schemes navigate complexity, support evolving member needs, and build stronger financial futures.

Delivering investment innovation that makes a difference

The judges praised Phoenix CIS for demonstrating a clear and forward‑looking approach to investment initiatives, noting:
“Phoenix CIS presented multiple examples of its work in developing effective, future‑focused investment strategies tailored to the changing demands of the pensions sector.”

The award reflects the breadth and impact of our work with clients and partners over the past year, including:

  • Expanding member access to private markets by supporting the Schroders Retirement Benefits Scheme to become one of the first UK DC schemes to integrate a Long‑Term Asset Fund into its default strategy.
  • Transforming the decumulation journey by partnering with TPT Retirement Solutions to deliver Managed Income for Life - offering members a seamless move into income drawdown without the need for complex decision‑making, while still retaining full flexibility over future choices.
  • Setting new standards in ESG and trustee reporting by enhancing fund transparency and collaborating with Capita to develop an AI-integrated investment reporting solution.
  • Leading industry dialogue, from hosting our Pensions Masterclass to sharing insight videos on key themes including private markets, changing retirement journeys, and how we’re supporting schemes in an evolving market.

Celebrating shared success across the industry

We were also thrilled to celebrate the success of partners on the night. Congratulations to TPT Retirement Solutions on winning At-Retirement Solutions Provider of the Year, and to AllianceBernstein, named DC Investment Manager of the Year, for their role in delivering Managed Income for Life.

And a huge well done to our colleagues in the wider Standard Life workplace business, who won Master Trust Offering of the Year - a fantastic result that showcases the strength and ambition across our organisation.

Thank you

Our thanks go to the judges, our clients and partners for their continued collaboration and trust. This award shows the passion and expertise our teams bring, and the shared commitment across the industry to drive progress for pension savers.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together - and excited for what’s ahead!
